Stifling summer heat continues to scorch the twin states this afternoon.
We expect a carbon copy for Sunday, but it may be a few degrees warmer
than today. High 96. Low 69.
Subtropical storm Beryl in the western Atlantic will not be a big player
in our forecast next week. We may see slightly better rain chances in
the first part of the week, but the beneficial widespread rain will
remain along the east coast.
With increased chances for showers and thunderstorms, we gradually see
heat levels back off through the week as highs will eventually dip back
into the lower 90s then upper 80s by Thursday.
At this point, our next good chance for widespread rain looks to be late
Thursday night and through the first part of Friday. A cold front will
pass through bringing beneficial rain and maybe a few thunderstorms and
cooler temperatures; Highs next Saturday may stay in the 70s!
Have a Safe Memorial Day!
