An MCS dropping down through southern Missouri and northern Arkansas has prompted the issuance of a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for parts of north Mississippi until 9:00pm. This is for areas north of HWY 82:
Some high-resolution models like the HRRR show a complex of storms holding together through the evening and dropping through central Mississippi around midnight. The main threats with these storms will be damaging straight-lined winds.
